Praktika is a language-learning app built around AI avatars: animated tutors with names, backstories and accents. You talk to them out loud, and they answer, correct you and guide you through lessons. The listing names tutors such as Alisha, a friendly US English tutor, and Marco, an American news editor for professional English and interview prep.

Beyond conversation, the listing describes 1,000+ lessons (including IELTS and TOEFL preparation, travel, careers and slang), fluency tracking with streaks and challenges, and “multimodal” practice where you upload a photo, PDF or voice note, such as your résumé before a job interview.

Where Praktika falls short

• Feedback depth. Premium promises “advanced instant feedback”; if you specifically want every word and sound scored after the conversation, compare carefully.
• Avatars aren’t for everyone. Some learners find a video face distracting and prefer a plain voice call.
